Scope:  THAC is working with Maharashtra Government's Integrated Child Development Scheme - ICDS - to provide better nutrition to young children, expectant woment and young mothers in a specific area while teaching them how to generate income e.g. through cultivation of backyard gardens. This is a demonstration program.

IFA funding is limited support for a year only. Once this demonstration has been completed THAC has been requested by the Government of Maharashtra to continue its work with the ICDS with THAC's costs in furture years to be reimbursed by the government.
